MEET LINDSEY!
Lindsey R. Mullholand is an NYC-dwelling public historian + creative.
Savvy at event planning, design, historical research, social media and photography— Ms. Mullholand is a born event planner and community builder, having created and lead over 200 events and public history exhibits in NYC.
Ms. Mullholand regularly finds sparks of inspiration in her historical and genealogical research, now spanning 400 years of New York City and United States history.
Friends, colleagues and history enthusiasts alike are regularly captivated by Ms. Mullholand’s love of lifelong learning, and all that her creativity, research, ardor and collaborations yield.
Her exhibits are lively, dynamic and multi-sensory, bridging both history and art.   Her exhibits and events, including “Revolutionary America: Portraits of Past, Present & Possibility”; “Silent Witness to History: 175 Years of Federal Hall National Memorial”,; “Keepers of Our Parks:  Manhattan Sites”; “The First and Second Annual George Washington Inaugural Ball” et al. have been viewed by over 50,000+ visitors from 40 countries throughout the world!
When not giving tours in the 12 NYC museums she champions, planning events, snapping photos, or as part of the National Park Service/Amtrak “Trails and Rails” program (that’s giving tours in museums, around NYC, on boats and on trains!); Ms. Mullholand is likely seeking out, exploring and photographing lesser-known historic sites and museums.   Since 2011, her “Lindsey Loves History” journey has taken her on several adventures to explore and photograph over 500 historic sites!
Ms. Mullholand has known she’s wanted to be a historian since the 3rd grade, particularly when first visiting Spiegel Grove, the home of President Rutherford B. Hayes in her home state of Ohio.   Once her history-loving Grandfather caught wind of her newfound love of history, the two started on a genealogical journey that Ms. Mullholand continues to this day, now over 25 years later.
Ms. Mullholand strongly believes in being of service to others, a trait she’s exuded since her first official volunteer role at the age of 13.  Since then, she’s lended her talents in event planning, social media, photography and fundraising to several roles in NYC non-profits.
